Gold Bullion FAQs
What are the differences between the gold coins?
The difference between the coins are the Canadian Maple and The American Buffalo are both 24 Kt Gold, whereas the American Eagle and the South African Krugerrand are 22 Kt Gold.
Are the 24 Kt gold coins superior to the 22 Kt. gold coins?
The 24 Kt. gold coins have 100% of fine gold and the 22 Kt coins have 91.75 of fine gold. However, all of these coins have 1 full oz of gold. That is, they trade for their gold content, which is 1 full oz of gold. So, as a practical matter, the 22 Kt coins have had some alloy added to the coins which makes them a bit more durable.
What are the payment methods?
Payment on gold bullion can be made by bank transfer, personal check, certified check or money order. Due to the low markup, credit cards are not accepted for bullion orders.

Why are so many investors, novice and experienced, adding Gold Eagles to their
portfolios?
Quality with a U.S. Government Guarantee
When you buy American Eagle Gold Bullion coins, you’re buying gold bullion coins whose weight, content and purity are guaranteed by the U.S. government. This makes them not only recognized as
America's official investment-grade gold bullion, but accepted worldwide
in major investment markets.
Performance You Can Count On
When looking for an investment with stability, consider Gold Eagles. They
consistently hold their value, no matter how volatile the financial climate,
because their value often moves independently of stocks and bonds. Many experts
recommend diversifying by adding gold to your investment portfolio as a way
of improving overall performance.
An Investment With a Real Plus: Liquidity and Privacy
As the number one gold bullion coins in the world, Gold Eagles are easy
to buy. But they're also easily converted into cash at most coin and
precious metal dealers due to their worldwide recognition and government
backing. You can sell them with confidence – and without delays and
added expenses for assaying. Your purchase or sale is private and non-reportable.
St. Gaudens-inspired Design
Gold Eagles offer a tangible beauty. What other investment allows you to
hold it in your hand and appreciate its artistry? Each coin is minted in
22-karat solid gold, its design inspired by the work of famed American sculptor
Augustus Saint-Gaudens. His design for the $20 gold coin, commissioned by
close friend Teddy Roosevelt, is considered to be the most beautiful coin
ever produced.
